Regulatory Framework & Compliance
National Leisure Finance (“we”, “us”, “our”) manages personal and credit information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Privacy (Credit Reporting) Code 2014, the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 (Cth), and the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 (Cth).
What Personal and Credit Information We Collect
To provide credit assistance and meet our legal obligations, we collect and hold information including:
Personal information
Your full name, date of birth, gender, contact numbers, residential address, email address, employment history, financial situation details, and documents used to verify your identity.
Credit information
Records of historical or active credit applications (including credit provider names, types of credit, and limits sought), repayment performance, default information, and public records that may affect eligibility or creditworthiness.
Derived credit information
Credit reporting details supplied by a credit reporting body, together with any assessments or profiles we derive from that information.
Purpose of Collection, Use, and Disclosure
We collect, use and disclose your personal and credit information for the following purposes:
- To assess and verify your identity, financial situation and capacity.
- To assess a credit application, or your suitability as a guarantor to an asset application.
- To exchange information with credit reporting bodies to obtain updates on your credit history.
- To communicate and provide required information to related applicants or nominated guarantors.
- To provide information to potential credit providers and insurers in connection with arranging finance.
- To deal with authorised third parties relevant to your application, which may include employers, real estate agents, landlords, or existing lenders.
Providing this information is voluntary. If you do not allow us to collect, hold, disclose and use this information, we will be unable to provide credit assistance or negotiate terms on your behalf.
Disclosures & Information Exchange
National Leisure Finance is a finance broker. We share relevant information with parties who need it for the purposes described in this policy. Recipients may include:
- Potential credit providers and asset insurers described in our Credit Guide. Examples may include Macquarie, Pepper Money, Latitude Financial Services, Bank of Queensland, Finance One and Capital Finance. This is not a complete list of every provider that may be involved.
- Our aggregation partner Fintelligence Pty Ltd (ABN 80 625 017 174, Australian Credit Licence 511803), which provides infrastructure systems and compliance support.
- Contracted service providers, debt collection agencies, legal advisers, regulators and government agencies, as required or authorised by law.
Interactions with Credit Reporting Bodies
As an access seeker, we may request credit reporting information. Our primary credit reporting partner is Equifax. We provide consumer identifiers to Equifax to obtain credit files, support credit assessments, and cross-check documents for anti-money laundering requirements.

Your Legislative Rights
You may request access to the personal and credit information we hold about you, and you may request correction of information that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. You may also ask credit reporting bodies not to use your information for direct-marketing pre-screening, and you may request that a credit reporting body restrict access to your file if you reasonably believe you are a victim of identity fraud.
Marketing & Electronic Communications
From time to time we may contact you with information about finance options. You can opt out of these marketing communications at any time by emailing us. By dealing with us electronically, you consent to receive notices, quotes and proposals by SMS or email instead of paper copies.
